It all started when…

…in 2007 with a passion for food and a long held dream to open our own restaurant; our family opened Paddy Fields with excitement and trepidation in equal measures!

Our chefs have many years of experience in Chinese cuisine and offer quality Cantonese dishes, dishes from other Chinese regions and a variety of vegetarian options.

We also provide a convenient Takeaway service (but we do recommend placing orders in advance during the busier periods e.g. Fridays and weekends).

We have been extremely fortunate to have been able to establish our business due to the incredible support from our amazing customers and hardworking team, for which we are deeply grateful.

Paddy Fields in Haxby is our only restaurant; this enables us to focus on providing our best in our small, independent, family-run restaurant.

We had a brief hiatus in 2014, but we missed ‘the buzz’ of the restaurant…luckily, we had the opportunity to return in the Autumn of 2017.

Wherever possible, we try our best to make sustainable choices; we recycle our glass bottles and use local suppliers e.g. our butcher based in Yorkshire, Robert, have been reliably supplying us with quality, British beef - even through the challenging Covid period.
